"I met Renee five years ago when my husband and I were looking for our first home. We were both music professors and I was pregnant with our first child. We did not have a lot of money, yet really wanted to be able to bring our baby ‘home’ from the hospital. We drove around one weekend and found a community that we just fell in love with, Brookhaven! When we wanted to begin looking at some houses, we had no idea that there were such things as buyers agents; we just called the phone number on the signs in front of the houses. RENEE was the only agent who answered her phone. We asked her if we could see a house, and she was there in minutes to show it to us! It was not exactly what we were looking for (and definitely out of our price range), but that evening Renee sent us a list of homes to preview. She worked and worked with us until we found the PERFECT home. I can’t begin to tell you the excitement we felt when we moved into our first real home and then brought our son home shortly thereafter.

We kept in touch with Renee in the months that followed. We would see her at the park and often received small Christmas gifts or cards from her. I soon decided that I wanted to stay at home with the baby more. So, I quit my tenured position at Georgia Southern University and stayed at home with my son. After a couple of years, I decided it was time to go back to work, and I chose to investigate real estate. Renee seemed to have a great deal of fun in her line of work, and I wanted to be able to bring joy to people just as Renee had done for us!

After I got my license, I asked Renee if she would show me the ropes. I have learned a great deal from working as Renee’s assistant and have come to really love real estate. It’s a pleasure to help people find a home, whether it’s a seller looking to move up, a first-time buyer, or a renter!
